I’m stuck in the weirdest wardrobe conundrum. Summer has officially ended, Fall has begun, and yet the weather still screams mid-July, rather than the end of September. Although I love the 80 degree weather, the fashion girl in me, wants to rotate her wardrobe and pull out jeans, chunky knits and ankle boots.
Every morning, after checking the weather app and sighing in disgust at the summer temperatures, I struggle to pick an outfit that reflects both the season and the current temp. This outfit happens to merge the seasons thoughtfully, and helps me feel like I’m transitioning into a time when Pumpkin spiced lattes and apple picking is appropriate.
My fuchsia Banana Republic dress has sleeves and shows a little less skin than my summer tank dresses, but has a pop of color that catches your eye. It would be an understatement to say that this dress was a crowd pleaser. Everyone from the FedEx guy, to my showroom clients sang high praises of the color and silhouette. Paired with my strappy mirrored metallic heel, a matching silver choker, and my signature cat eye sunglasses, and I’m ready to face the day.
